Board Certified General Surgeon
Dr. Wallace is a board-certified General Surgeon with 20 years of combined training and practice experience. Her undergraduate degree from Arizona State University was in Biochemistry and Microbiology and her interest in these fields remained an integral part of her medical, surgical and oncology research education. She earned her medical degree from the University of Arizona and completed her General Surgery training at the University of Louisville and The Carilion Clinic. She subsequently completed a Surgery Fellowship from Stanford University with additional training in Breast and Melanoma surgery, and was selected as a Susan G. Komen Fellow.
Dr. Wallace has worked in academics for the majority of her career and has taught medical students and residents, performed clinical research in the field of oncology, given numerous presentations and authored publications as an expert in her field. She served on national committees including the Commission on Cancer and the Education sub-committee through the American College of Surgeons. She also served as a Cancer Liaison Physician to the Commission on Cancer for nine years and has worked on many quality improvement projects during her career. She has a special interest in comprehensive wound care.
Since 2012, Dr. Wallace and her family have lived in Fort Collins and love Colorado and the small-town feeling of our city. Her interests include hiking, skiing, and painting.CERTIFICATION AND MEMBERSHIP:
